We invite you to submit a proposal for a 45-minute session at this
gathering of extraordinary minds at the Four Points
Sheraton, Bakersfield.

This professional development event provides college and high school educators
with the opportunity to learn and share our teaching successes with one
another. As a dedicated professional, you have developed and refined
many instructional strategies and materials that have benefited you and,
more importantly, your students. In sharing one or more of these
approaches, you will assist your colleagues in their quest to enhance
student academic success.
Topic Ideas: Artificial Intelligence, First-Year Experience, Basic Skills,
English-as-a-Second-Language, Technology in the Classroom, Responding to
Papers, Teaching Research, Reading Rhetorically, Critical Thinking,
Learning Disabilities,
Coping with Student Attitudes, or any topic related to teaching
composition, literature, or ESL. Panel presentations, especially with
faculty from other campuses, are well-received by BBC participants.
